Back to the Blog

I am now fully settled into Niceville, Florida. My condo is great and I have plenty of room for friends and family to come visit anytime, just let me know! I have already begun my training for my anticipated new career specialty: Explosive Ordnance Disposal. The school is a whopping 7.5 months with about 50 tests thrown into the mix. It is very challenging and currently has the highest failure rate of any Marine Corps school… I’ve always loved a good challenge. So far I’m doing well, and I am very excited about getting into this field so send good vibes to me so that everything works out!

The Florida panhandle is very scenic. There are a lot of beaches where the oil doesn’t wash up and are still gorgeous. There is a lot to see and do around here but I usually have to reserve all that for weekends and holidays because of the 11-hour school days.

Those are my updates for now, more to come when any big news pops up. Thanks for your support.
